Date: Thu, 9 Sep 1999 12:51:13 -0400 (EDT) From: Mary Hopkins Subject: [Boston-voice-users] MEETING 9/14/99, 7:30 The next meeting of Boston Voice Users will be Tuesday, September 14, 7:30 p.m., MIT 2-135. Directions below. Introduction to the Dragon (or: Dictate! You're on candid camera) Yours humbly (impersonating guinea pig) and Patrcia Hawkins (as instructor) will demo a training session on Dragon Naturally Speaking. I'm a fairly experienced user of DragonDictate and have watched Nat demo'd but never used it before; Patricia is experienced with both systems and is also a programmer. We'll give you a realistic demo of what it's like to start using voice, what questions arise, what's obvious and obscure to one user, and who starts breathing fire first! Questions are invited, the more basic the better. Directions to room: Go in the main door of MIT, at 77 Mass. Ave. Go straight down the Infinite Corridor for as long as you can. When forced to turn, go right. You'll pass one intersection decorated with murals of jungle animals, hallway to library on your left, stairs on your right. 2-135 is a couple of doors further along on the left. For wheelchair access: use the door at 33 Mass Ave, toward the River from the main door. There's a lift here. Please feel free to cross-post this message. _______________________________________________ Boston-voice-users maillist - Boston-voice-users@harvee.billerica.ma.us http://harvee.billerica.ma.us/mailman/listinfo/boston-voice-users
