Date: Fri, 3 Sep 1999 11:52:10 -0400 From: "Lisa L. Hall" Subject: Access/Client Server User Group Meeting - 9/8/99 Hi Everyone, The next meeting of the Access Client/Server User Group will be held on Wednesday September 8th, 1999 at Daniel Webster College in Nashua, NH. We will be meeting at the After Hours Café (directions below). As always, attendance is free and no reservations are required. Here is our agenda for Wednesday night: (times subject to change without notice) Announcements and Question & Answers: 5:30 - 6:30 PM If you have any announcements you'd like to make to the group... Need a job, have a job?... Stand up and be heard. Also the floor is open to any Access, SQL, or general programming questions you may have. Main Presentation 6:30 - 8:30 PM Presenter: Doug Fortnam of Whitmann-Hart Being able to transfer data from one place to another is always an important arrow in the quiver. Doug Fortnam of Whitmann-Hart in Salem, NH will demonstrate: (1) an Oracle Wizard that will migrate Access into Oracle, (2) SQL link - which will allow quick and easy extraction of data from any ODBC compliant database, and (3) Oracle objects for OLE. Doug will also have some free software available for handouts. Also, if anyone is having problems with constructing reports in Oracle, they can be brought into the Microsoft Suite and handled with automation - Because report writing can be fairly complex in Oracle, Doug has been doing quite a bit of this lately, and has become a great fan of automation. The latter can be discussed off-line, or could be a topic for a future meeting. Please visit our website http://www.lunasystems.com for additional information about this and other New England area user groups. We hope you can attend and look forward to seeing you there!
