What makes it exciting is constraining the enormous variable mix. Using The High Quality Equation(TM), this presentation will provide specific Risk Management tools that will not only ease the QA Manager's burden but will also make him or her the hero of any software project! Risk Management is an important aspect of building and maintaining customer acceptable software applications. Every successful QA manager needs a toolbox of risk assessment and management tools which will be covered in this presentation. It will explore The High Quality EquationTM approach to Risk Management, providing a framework for using metrics, processes, and methodologies to successfully manage software quality. Attendees will learn to use metrics in new ways as predictors, how to involve the whole project team in the risk assessment and remediation, and to custom-create Win/Win methodologies to leverage processes which will turn any software project into a success. Attendees will learn the benefits of using the High Quality Equation(TM) as a way to manage risks and to improve their success as QA managers. This new approach for the QA Manager as Risk Manager includes metrics, process, and other management tools. Practical techniques will be covered that support The High Quality Equation(TM). This presentation will teach QA Managers how to manage for success: ·How to improve QA Management success by understanding and using The High Quality Equation(TM) . ·How to use specific metrics in new ways to help manage quality and project risks: metrics as predictors. ·How to custom-create Win/Win methodologies and leverage processes which will turn any software project into a successful one. Anna Allison has over 18 years experience in the software development industry. After receiving her MBA, she entered the software development industry and has worked at such companies as Lotus Development Corp., Bachman Information Systems, Softkey International, Index Consulting, CareTools, and Millennium Pharmaceuticals, Inc. Starting out as a Database Application Developer, Anna has held positions ranging from QA Engineer to QA Director, Project Manager, and IS Director. Anna now runs her own consulting company presenting, speaking, training, and consulting with companies on QA strategies, methodologies, and risk analysis techniques. Anna was a speaker at the Quality Assurance Institute's International Conference in Orlando, September, 1999, and is currently working on an article and new presentation/training course on "Is the Software Improving?", an in depth exploration of the information behind the numbers (metrics).
