Mourant, Ph.D., Director of the Virtual Environments Laboratory at Northeastern University will describe the state-of-the-art virtual environments projects that his undergraduate and graduate students have been developing over the past several years. Then all participants will have the opportunity to experience the following virtual environments: Driving Simulator Hosted by Talal Al-Shihabi and Lily Parsi Overhead Crane Simulator Hosted by Thara Thattacherry Walking Simulator Hosted by Beverly Jaeger and Feng-ji (Alex) Tsai Nighttime Driving Simulator Hosted by Sophia-Katerina Marangos Driving Environments Modeling Language Hosted by Shinji Tanaka and Jalpesh Patadia When Wednesday, March 3, 1999. Networking time at 6:30 PM. Announcements, feature presentation, and hands-on demonstrations will begin at 7:00 PM. Where Room 90 in the Snell Engineering Library, Northeastern University, Boston Directions to the NU campus Via public transportation: Take the Orange Line to the Ruggles Stop, or the E-Green Line to the Northeastern University stop. Via automobile: From Cambridge, take Massachusetts Avenue over the Harvard Bridge. From the suburbs, take Storrow Drive to the Fenway exit and bear left to Boylston Street. Turn right on Massachusetts Avenue. Cross Huntington Avenue (past Symphony Hall), and turn right on Columbus Avenue. You will see the Parking Garage on your right. Refer to the campus map at http://www.neu.edu/maps/maps.html. Drive into the entrance to the Parking Garage and keep to your right to enter the Visitors Parking lot. The fee is $6. Alternatively, parking on the street is free after 6 PM, if you can find an open spot. The Snell Library is Building 60.
