But what you may not know is that each conference is planned several years in advance by a committee of volunteers--- volunteers who run the Art Show, Computer Animation Festivals, Courses, Panels, Papers, etcetera. These volunteers are selected by the Conference Chair and are responsible for creating the SIGGRAPH conference experience. As the Chair of the SIGGRAPH 2001 conference in Los Angeles, I will spend the next several months forming a committee to work with me on the SIGGRAPH 2001 conference. I am looking for people who have extraordinary ideas and time to realize their ideas. If you or someone you know would like to get involved, please feel free to contact me and/or visit our web site at http://www.siggraph.org/volunteering/ which includes information, as well as the volunteer application form. Interviews will begin in July. Looking forward to hearing from you, Lynn Pocock Conference Chair, SIGGRAPH 2001 Conference Los Angeles pocock@siggraph.org
