About the Speaker ----------------- Martha Loss founded Oakfield Associates (Newton, Mass.), a management and ergonomics consulting firm, in 1983. She focuses on office ergonomics, injury prevention, management development, and productivity in the computerized work environment. Prior to starting her own business, Martha worked at MIT as Manager of Medical Information Services, managing a large staff in a deadline-driven, computerized environment. In this capacity, she realized the significant impact that the human-computer interface has on individuals and organizations, and this has moved her to address office ergonomics as an educator and expert consultant. She has custom designed and written ergonomics workbooks, trained clients to deliver in-house ergonomic seminars, and educated thousands of computer users in workshops. Martha holds a Bachelors in psychology and a Masters in Human Resource Education from Boston University, where her research project was "VDT Ergonomics." She has been on the adjunct faculty of the Bentley College School of Continuing Professional Studies, Human Resource Management.
