From: Brian Bay Subject: MacWoburn meetings and modified Jan agenda Date: Wednesday, January 13, 1999 6:19 PM Hello, The bad news: This may be a duplicate posting for some of you and I apologize but the mailing list was just updated. The good news I'm back from MacWorld and look forward to our January 20th meeting. There are many new products and I have demo disks and some giveaways. P.A.M. Borys Director, MacWoburn step@mediaone.net 85 Willow St. Woburn, MA 01801 Please note some date changes. JANUARY 20th MEETING ANNOUNCEMENT January 20 meeting: What was new at MacWorld San Francisco. The User Group breakfast announced that there is a $25K grant for a user group to do a project that will help the schools. I think we should discuss this and consider how we might participate. If we decide to write a proposal we will also have to establish MacWoburn as a 501c nonprofit organization and adopt bylaws. I think there are some fantastic opportunities here and look forward to a lively discussion. If anyone has helped a nonprofit incorporate or has a lawyer in the family, we need your expertise! We'll cover 8.5 in another meeting. FEBRUARY 24 MEETING ANNOUNCEMENT February 24 meeting: Sending e-mail, downloading and uploading with Ilene Hoffman of TalkCity. Ilene can answer all your questions about getting info on, off, and accross the internet. MARCH 17 MEETING ANNOUNCEMENT March 17 meeting: Teaching ClarisWorks (AppleWorks) in the middle school.
