The success of the approach has been well documented over the past 20 years. The method was developed by Michael Fagan at IBM in the 1970s and is considered by many to be the most powerful tool available for improving the performance of a software organization. John will describe the software inspection technique, present evidence from many companies of the successful use of the technique, and discuss what it is about this approach to building software that makes it so successful. BIO on the speaker: John Pustaver is a software quality consultant with over 30 years of experience in the software field. He has experience as a developer, quality engineer, development manager, and quality manager. He is the New England region councilor for the Software Division of the American Society for Quality, Associate Editor of Software Quality Professional, Conference Chair for the 9th International Conference on Software Quality and founder/director of the Software Quality Group.
