From: John C Shockey Subject: *CAL* MacTechGrp Meeting - December 1, 1999 Date: Monday, November 29, 1999 6:09 PM >From the keyboard of our fearless leader, Owen: MacTechGrp Meeting December 1, 1999 7:00 PM MIT Building E51-395 The Carbonization of Emily or Mellowing Yellow Carbon libraries? Carbon? Whatever happened to WaitNextEvent? Or even GetDItem? The Knuckleheads at the MacTechGrp are going to make their lofty pronouncements on Carbon and the Carbon libraries, and you had better be there. We'll look at just how this so-called transition is supposed to take place, and what you should do to take advantage of it. Last time we trotted out a G4 and iBook and even let you get your grubby fingers on it, in addition to a blow-by-blow description of the changes for Mac OS 9. The usual suspects will be rounded up for exciting Macintosh jabbering, of the sort you love, and we hope you'll participate. Please bring your whole mind, a quart of jabber, and any Macintosh news, questions, or rumors to MIT building E51 Wednesday night, and let there be dancing in the streets, drinking in the saloons and necking in the parlor. Note: The room number is 395, but we often move to a room with a better projector, so 395 is often just a pointer to our real address. I always write the real room number on the blackboard in 395, so just dereference that. You can get a map showing building E51 at http://whereis.mit.edu/bin/map?oldstate=2&off.x=4620&off.y=1640&hi=bld g_e51&zoom.x=89&zoom.y=38 You can get a good beer at the Cambridge Brewing Company. The MacTechGrp always meets the first Wednesday of the month.
