Date: Mon, 31 Aug 1998 18:55:26 -0500 (CDT) From: jglow@colltech.com Subject: NENTUG September Meeting Announcement We have three important items of interest to share: 1. Name Change: the Greater Boston Area NT Server Users Group, or BANTSUG 2. September Meeting Reminder 3. New Exchange Users Group For a number of reasons, we have decided to change the name of the group to BANTSUG, or the Greater Boston Area NT Server Users Group. The primary reason for the change is that there are growing users group communities in other parts of New England and we thought that we would give them some name space. Another reason is that we wanted to put up a new web site. The new web site is still only a reproduction of the old site with better bandwidth, but we hope to do more with it as the year progresses. Visit the site at http://www.bantsug.org. We are back in the normal swing of things this month. The September meeting of the Greater Boston Area NT Server Users Group will focus on NT Administration. We are fortunate to have two vendors presenting their administration tools: Mission Critical Software (http://www.missioncritical.com) and NetIQ (http://www.netiq.com). In addition to the presentations we will have the 6:30 Q&A session where Solution Providers will field your general NT questions. The meeting will be in the Waltham offices of Microsoft (see http://www.bantsug.org/ms_dirs.html for directions). Exchange User Group: Several members of BANTSUG have expressed interest forming a Microsoft Exchange user group. A preliminary meeting has been set for Sept. 24 from 7 to 9 pm at Microsoft's offices in Waltham. The meeting will consist of an Exchange-related presentation and a brief planning/organizing session. Please contact mark.weiner@eastmansoftware.com with any suggestions or for more information.
