This event will be held in the West Wing of the Boston Museum of Science. Date: Wednesday, 7 January, 1998. Time: 6:30 pm. Job fair and exhibition begins in the main exhibition area. 7:15 - 8:45 First screening of the Electronic Theater videos. 9:15 - 10:45 Second screening of the Electronic Theater videos. Cost: Admission is free, Science Museum parking is $5. Seating for the SIGGRAPH videos is limited, first come first served. Some tickets will be set aside for SIGGRAPH/Boston members and exhibitors. At the job fair and exhibition representatives from high tech companies that are looking for computer graphics professionals will be on hand. Many of the attending companies will also be showing off what they do, their expertise, and their latest products. This is a great chance to see what's going on in computer graphics in the Boston area. This will be the event of the year for the Boston computer graphics scene. It will provide a rare opportunity to meet key players in person and to establish contacts with others involved in this industry. The Electronic Theater videos from the last SIGGRAPH convention (August 1997) will be shown in Cahners Theater. The Electronic >Theater is a collection of competitively submitted and juried computer animation produced for the SIGGRAPH convention. For many convention attendees, this was the highlight of the week. All the Science Museum exhibits in the West Wing will be open for your enjoyment. We need lots of help. Please check out http://www.siggraph.org/chapters/boston/jobfair/volunteer.htm or just contact me right away. Please volunteer for something if you can. If you're planning on coming anyway, why not volunteer for half the time? It should be a fun way to be part of the event. I hope to hear from you soon.
