So far, so good. Welcome to all new members. July Meeting 1. I want to thank everyone that attended the July meeting. I want to extend a special thanks to the folks from Actual Software, who provided the crowd with an educational presentation on the different options of e-mail available to Palm owners. If you were not able to attend this meeting, please take a moment to check the Actual Software web site: http:///www.actualsoft.com Show them how much we appreciate their presentation by letting them know. Oh and by the way, hey have some very interesting software. Meeting Site Directions 2. Someone was kind enough to point out a second mistake in the directions to the meeting location. The directions have been updated, again. I think I have it right this time. July Meeting 3. Aug meeting Tues, Aug 18th, 1998 at IBM in Waltham. Best Palmpilot Web Sites. We'll go surfing the net looking for the sites that offer news, reviews and other great Palm info. Do you have a favorite site? Please send it to NEPUG Vice President Steve Isenberg at steve.isenberg@fmr.com. He'll check it out and report at the Aug meeting. E-mail your vote today! Door Prizes 4. I want to remind everyone to bring an extra business card to the Aug meeting. We've got great prizes including several software programs. Rides from the MBTA 5. I've had a couple of comments from people about the limited access to the Waltham meeting site from the MBTA. To try and help out, I'm asking for volunteers who would be willing to pick up other members from one of the nearest T stops (Alewife, Riverside or the Waltham Center commuter rail station) and give them a lift to the IBM office. If you need a ride or can offer one, send an e-mail by Monday 8/17 to mes@NE-Palm.org. Please include: - If you need a ride or can provide one - Which T station - Your day time phone number I will then try to match people up. Book Discount 6. Our thanks to the folks at Computer Literacy for offering the great (40%) discount on David Pogues new book. I hope many of you took advantage of this offer. We'll try for more such offers in the future. Thanks to Tap Magazine 7. My thanks to the folks at Tap Magazine (a GoPilot Publication) for providing free copies to attendees of the July meeting. Web Site 8.I encourage everyone to visit our web site often and provide feedback. Tell us what you would like to see: -News -Tips and Tricks -More links -Reviews Remember, the more popular our web site, the more chance we have to get advertisers. All advertising monies go to defray the cost of running the group. Meeting Topics 9. Were always looking for future meeting topics. E-mail your suggestions to me at mes@ne-palm.org Data Glove (Pilot case) by Levenger 10. Does anyone have a Data Glove (Pilot case) by Levenger. One of our members would like to see it. If so, please bring it to the next meeting. Lost Stylus 11. Finally, someone left their stylus at the last meeting. Send me an e-mail describing it in detail and I'll arrange to get it back to you. That's enough for this month. I hope to see everyone on the 18th. Thanks Michael Steinberg President New England Palm Users Group http://www.bnug.org/ne-palm mes@NE-Palm.org
