Date: Sat, 15 Aug 1998 23:24:02 -0400 From: Steven Allen Subject: Boston Windows User Group August 24 Meeting Monday, August 24, 1998 ----------------------- Teach-In, Windows 98 ==================== Boston Windows User Group ------------------------- 7:00 p.m. - 9:30 p.m. Demo start at 7:15 --------------------- How to install, what to install and how to use it. BWUG members report on their experience in Clean Install, Upgrade and, perhaps a system purchased with Win 98 preinstalled. We pool our experience to guide other members. We plan a demo of a "clean install" on one of our member's machines as well as reports on experiences and tips by others. Because the demo has several intervals in which "one can only watch the grass grow", we will intersperse other activities. Please let Steve Allen know by email, ASAP, how you could contribute to this session. We're interested in your overall experience in installation and use, drivers you were missing (and if/how you obtained them), mishaps and quirks. Steve will finalize the program on the morning of the 24th. In your email (or an additional email) indicate how he may reach you on 8/23 pm and 8/24 am. Location: Microsoft's Multipurpose Room, 6th floor, 230 Third Ave, Waltham, MA, which has Parking and has Wheelchair access. Directions: Take Route 128/95 to Exit 27A. Go south on Third Ave passing between the northbound 128/95 and the Westin Hotel. Reaching Third Ave requires a U-turn to the right from the 128/95 northbound exit or a "cross the overpass and turn right" from the 128/95 southbound exit. From Third Ave, turn left onto Fourth Ave immediately after the Westin. Go to end, turn right and follow signs for Prospect Place. Bear right at the fork and follow signs to Visitor Parking. Lobby is on second floor. Also see map on www.bwug.org/events. ***************************************************************** ***** Join us for a Dutch Treat Dinner. ****** ****** Meet us at Bertucci's Restaurant at 5:30. ****** ****** It's in the small strip mall diagonally across ****** ****** the 128/95 intersection with Winter St ****** ****** from the meeting location.
