Read on... Coming soon, on Tuesday September 8th (day after Labor Day), your Boston Network Users Group, BNUG, will meet at Mass Bay Community College in Wellesley Hills to learn about mobile payment methods. As usual, admission is FREE and open to all. Munchies and Intermingling (M&I) starts at 6:30pm, the meeting will start at 7pm and must end by 8:30pm. About the meeting: You've heard about Apple Pay. Mobile payment technology has come a long way from the days of money via PayPal on a Palm Pilot. Cell phones are rapidly turning into wallets, and merchants are competing with device manufacturers and credit card companies to control this new direction. Apple Pay, Samsung Pay, Google Wallet, MCX, and many other players are competing for your tap. We’ll look at some of the solutions, the basic technology behind them, and the politics as well. About the speaker: Josh Turiel runs an IT services firm in Salem, MA where he also serves as a City Councillor (which is why you don’t see him very often anymore at BNUG meetings) and was a past president of BNUG. His company specializes in Apple and Windows small business integration, security, and mobile device management. He can be reached at jht@jhturiel.net. IMPORTANT: You need to have a (free) parking permit and directions. These are located online (print yours) at http://www.bnug.org/parkingpermit Please let me know if you plan to come or even if you may come so we can have enough space and munchies. Thanks. FINALLY, thank you for reading this far. I'm always open to your comments and suggestions, and even your questions and clever jokes (especially the latter). Regards, -steve Steve Isenberg President, BNUG PS: MBCC Students are encouraged to join us! PS: Join us on Meetup -- http://meetup.com/b-n-u-g
