Despite the late notice, the July 9, 2015 special business meeing is ON SCHEDULE.
I completely lost track of what week it was. I always knew the meeting date, but I “felt” it was next week, not a mere 3 days from this invite!
I am very sorry for any confusion or uncertainty this may have caused you – and even more sorry if you would have attended if only you had had a timely notice.



We will be following the normal timing of our Thursday meetings:

5:00    Doors open
5:30    Pizza and soda (sponsored by Constant Contact - thank you!)
6:00    The meeting welcome and announcements
6:15    Content (no Lightning Talk or main Tech Topic speaker this time; just group business)
8:45    Adjourn - clean up and get out

Presentation Summary:

July is no longer a “skip” month for the NEJUG. This year, we begin a new schedule making July the “Group Business” meeting.
We will still meet on the same calendar schedule: the second Thursday of the month, yielding July 9, 2015.
There will be no educational program for the evening: no Lightning Talks and no Main Technical Presentation.
Rather, the time normally alloted for those meeting items will be used for group business.

The main agenda are:

Historical overview of the NEJUG
Brief leadership history
Description of current leadership team
Review, Modification, and Ratification of Founding Documents
NEJUG Vision
NEJUG Articles of Association
Selection of Officers
Open format discussion of future goals

We're hoping for a good attendence of members interested in the inner workings of the group,
able to offer their experience and insights into how the group will function moving forward.
In addition, with roles clearly defined, we expect more members than ever to step forward to help
the NEJUG deliver value by volunteering their time. (Volunteerism not required to participate in the Group Business meeting.)

NOTE: Drafts of the NEJUG Vision and the NEJUG Articles of Association will be posted to the web site soon (hopefully, by 7:00pm tonight).

Speaker Background:
Stevel Lintz has been the NEJUG President since November, 2014 and has been greatly assisted in that
 role by both the previous president, Mark Johnson, and a stable team of NEJUG Leadership: Al Cole,
Craig Lubin, Morgan Creighton, Nick Zoda, Ralph Navarro, and Vineet Sinha – plus two new group leaders: Kyle Smith and Martin Serrano.
