BNUG Meeting December 1, 2015 (Happy 29th Anniversary!) Understanding Network Switching Concepts and Cisco Switch Configuration This month’s presentation will provide a tutorial on network switching basics including VLANs and broadcast domains, stacking, link aggregation and fault tolerance. We will have a hands-on configuration of two Cisco switches, from scratch, utilizing the concepts outlined within the introductory tutorial. Walk away from the meeting with an understanding of key switching concepts and the practical implementation of these building blocks. About our speaker: Glenn Fund was the founding member of BNUG back in 1986. Today, Glenn works as the Director of Field Engineering at Broadleaf Services, Billerica MA. Broadleaf’s experienced team has in-depth knowledge of storage consolidation, data protection, WAN optimization, disaster recovery and virtualization technologies. Contact Glenn at gfund@comcast.net. Tuesday December 1st, your Boston Network Users Group, BNUG, will meet at Mass Bay Community College in Wellesley Hills. As usual, admission is FREE and open to all. Munchies and Intermingling (M&I) starts at 6:30pm, the meeting will start by 7pm and must end by 8:30pm. IMPORTANT: You need to have a (free) parking permit and directions. These are located online (print yours) at http://www.bnug.org/parkingpermit -- you can park right next to the building (flagpole area) if you want and display this permit.
