Date: Aug 08/28/14 3:41 PM Subject: NEJUG Meeting: Thu, Sep 11 - Building modern JavaScript applications with Ember.js From: Stevel Lintz Single Page Applications, aka SPA's, have become all the rage since the term was coined back in 2005. Despite this long history, it's only in the past few years that SPA's have truly taken us beyond the page-to-page navigational model of ancient Internet history. Modern web sites are looking more and more like portable desktop applications. One of the engineering developments that has accellerated this movement is the advent of JavaScript resources providing the necessary functional support. Initially, such resources were independant components that an SPA development team would stich together. Nowadays, all the pieces are integrated into frameworks, and Ember.js is one of the premier in its class. Join your fellow NEJUG members at the Thu, Sep 11 meeting to hear Sam Selikoff discuss the Ember.js SPA platform. I've reviewed a draft version of his slide deck and watched a sample video of him in action and I'm very pleased that he is sharing his time with us. I'm sure your time will be well worth it. Topic: Building modern JavaScript applications with Ember.js Presenter: Sam Selikoff Location: Constant Contact Presentation Overview: This talk explores building modern JavaScript web applications with the Ember.js framework.
