Ben Canter from DataCore Software [http://www.datacore.com], will speak on "Software Defined Storage Infrastructures". As usual, admission is FREE and open to all. Why are companies like EMC, NetApp, and VMware promising to develop software-defined storage infrastructures? How are IT organizations like yours benefiting from separating storage services from the hardware where data is kept? What can you do today to reach those very desirable outcomes? Answers to these questions and tips to making the transition will all be covered during this lively discussion. Presented by Ben Canter, Northeast Regional Director for DataCore Software, with experience in the VAR community for the past 14 years. During his time at both PC Connection and Insight, he was Data-Center focused and responsible for helping customers with projects around Servers, Storage, Networking, and Virtualization. He is certified in providing solutions from HP, IBM, Cisco, and VMware but has also deeply trained in Net App, EMC, Symantec, and Microsoft technologies. Currently Ben resides in Douglas, MA with his wife and son Tyler. Munchies and Intermingling (M&I) starts at 6:30pm, the meeting will start at 7pm and must end by 8:45pm.
