Computer Virtualization for Energy Savings

Please join BNUG on August 7th for a presentation on Computer Virtualization for Energy Savings given by Kenneth Olsen.

Only 48% of the energy used in the data center is used by the computers to produce computations.
Kenneth Olson will discuss effective strategies for optimizing cooling, power distribution and
uninterruptable power supply systems.

Kenneth Olsen is an engineer with extensive experience in data center design, operations and management.

He has been the featured technical speaker at a number of technical forums including the October 2011
Virtualization Group (VirtG) meeting.

Please join us on Tuesday, August 7th at 6:30PM where we will be
meeting at New England Rehabilitation Hospital on 2 Rehabilitation Way in Woburn, MA in the NE room near the cafeteria.

* Refreshments are served from 6:30 pm. Meeting starts at 7:00pm with the technical presentation concluding at 9:00 pm.

* BNUG monthly meetings, membership and refreshments are always FREE and you are not required to be a member to attend.
