Date: Aug 08/25/10 3:34 PM Subject: Wednesday! ** MacTechGroup Meeting Wednesday Sept 1 7PM Sent By: "Owen Hartnett" MacTechGroup The MacTechGroup holds meetings for Macintosh programmers on the first Wednesday of each month at MIT in Cambridge, Massachusetts, USA. Next Meeting: Sept 1 2010 7:00 PM Building E51 Room 315 MIT Sloan School (Note: we are in room 315 at least until Jan.) Topic: Create a professional build system for Mac/iPhone/iPad Create a professional, repeatable build system for your iPhone/Mac applications using XCode, build scripts and Subversion. By using a combination of scripts, some juggling of the XCode system, and integration in your app, along with Subversion, you'll learn how to build a system that will embed the subversion version number into your application's version number, thus allowing you to determine exactly what build produced any executable. There will also be scripts that will package the build so that it is completely ready to go to Application Loader. Some of these functions can also be used for multiple language handling for localization purposes. This information can't be posted afterwards, so if you want to find out how to do it, you'll have to come to the meeting. Full instructions will be provided. Next month: Oct. 6 TAPWORTHY Author Josh Clark Mark Oct 6 on your calendar, you're going to like hearing from Josh Clark. I've been reading his book "Tapworthy" about iPhone design, and it definitely is one of the best iPhone UI design books out there. This is a MacTechgroup "don't miss it" meeting. ************************ You can get a map showing building E51 at The MacTechGrp always meets the first Wednesday of the month.
