Date: Jul 07/14/09 1:28 AM Subject: Coders Corner Call-for-Papers Deadline Extended! Dear BASUG Members and Friends, Mark your calendars! Our Q4 Coders' Corner meeting will be held on Wednesday, December 2, 2009. There's still time to submit an idea for a paper. We've extended our deadline for the Coders' Corner Call-for-Papers to Friday, July 31, 2009. Coders' Corner meetings are devoted to short talks (5-15 minutes) allowing speakers to present a SAS-related tip or technique they've mastered in a supportive environment. First-time BASUG presenters are especially encouraged to participate. Experienced SAS teacher and presenter, Bob Virgile, has offered to give feedback and support to anyone who would like to start presenting. Even if you are just considering a topic, we'd love to hear from you. We're happy to help you develop your ideas. And remember, your little coding trick or tool might save a colleague a day of programming! If you're interested in participating, please let us know by July 31, 2009 by submitting the following to Lori Goldman (Lori.Goldman@rcn.com) and Sally Skinner (Sally.Skinner@tufts.edu): 1. Brief description of talk, along with working title 2. Anticipated length of presentation 3. Contact information You will be notified by the end of August if your paper is selected. If you are chosen to present, a detailed abstract and a short bio will be due by September 18, 2009. (Hint: all of the submissions were accepted last year!). Please send submissions, questions or ideas to Lori Goldman (Lori.Goldman@rcn.com) and Sally Skinner (Sally.Skinner@tufts.edu). You may find a copy of the full call for papers here: http://www.basug.org/CodersCornerCallQ42009.htm Thank you for your interest. The BASUG Steering Committee
