From: Owen Hartnett Subject: [Submit] MacTechGroup Meeting Wednesday April 2 - Programming the iPhone Date: Friday, March 28, 2008 11:08:34 PM MacTechGrp Meeting Wednesday April 2, 2008 7-9PM Room 315 Bldg E51 MIT Sloan School ****************** This is a meeting you won't want to miss. ****************** Workshop: The iPhone Open Source Compiler Jonathan Zdziarski, author of "iPhone Open Application Development" from O'Reilly press, and known for his work in cracking the iPhone and leading the effort to port the first open source applications to the iPhone, will give a workshop to introduce programmers to the iPhone's technical architecture and illustrate how you can use the techniques in his book to create applications for the iPhone with the same dazzling effects as the original iPhone applications. Jonathan will dig into some of the private iPhone APIs and make it a low level camp meeting style presentation. This looks like an highly notable meeting for potential iPhone developers, even if you think you're going to use Apple's SDK. Recommended for all. Jonathan will try to raffle off a copy of his book for trivia answers. People can bring their macs if they want to follow along. -Owen ************************ You can get a map showing building E51 at The MacTechGrp always meets the first Wednesday of the month.
