Widgets & Rails - Building the new GUI with Ruby Brian DeLacey will be talking about Ruby and its various applications, specifically: Introducing Ruby as a programming language Introducing wxWidgets and wxRuby as a GUI Toolkit Introducing Rails (aka Ruby on Rails) as a means for developing graphical web applications He'll demonstrate each and provide links to a number of online resources for further detail. Brian is an old BCS'er who is a very knowledgeable and excellent speaker. I recommend this meeting for anyone wanting to know more about this very hot programming topic.
