In this session Mike will be highlighting two of Altiris's most successful products, Recovery Solution for Servers and Deployment Solution for Servers (versions are available for clients too). Recovery Solution for Servers allows you to take automated local or network based incremental backups of your systems. After which you can do a point in time recovery of these systems. Restoring anything from just a single file to a complete bare metal full system restore is possible. This is done while using significantly less storage space and network bandwidth than the majority of existing backup technologies. Deployment Solution for Servers allows you to automate the 'entire' build process of a server. Including (but not limited to) BIOS flash and settings, hardware settings, scripted or imaged OS installs, HAL reconfiguration, joining domains, patch installation, application installation and data loading. So that all you have to do is turn the system on and the correct build process for the system will automatically start. It can even let you know when it's done. While each of these tools individually is a technology leader. The combination of these two products can allow you to restore production servers to dissimilar hardware in the case of a disaster. Both tools can be centrally managed within the Altiris web based console with full reporting so you have a complete view of what the status of your environment really is. ** *9:00 – 9:30* - *Hand in evals for* *door **prizes * -- This message has been scanned for viruses and dangerous content by MailScanner, and is believed to be clean. _______________________________________________ mail sent to Submit@blu.org
