computer science to consider WPI for graduate school. The event is to

    The Computer  Science Department of  WPI is holding an  open house
  for prospective  Graduate Students on Friday November  10th. We hope
  that you will advertise this  event to your students and direct them
  to the following URL where  they can find information about the free
  event:

    WPI has a thriving research community with a small faculty/student
  ratio.  Our  dedicated  Faculty  performs  world-class  research  in
  Artificial  Intelligence, Performance  Evaluation,  Database Systems
  Management, Human  Interaction in Virtual  Environments, Intelligent
  Tutoring Systems, Visualization, and Software Engineering.

    We have planned  a day of activities to  introduce students to our
  Faculty. We  start with an  introductory session on  graduate school
  that we  believe will be especially informative  regardless of where
  the student attends graduate  school.  Throughout the day there will
  be  numerous short 20-30  minute presentations  by both  Faculty and
  graduate  students.  There will  also  be  time  to visit  our  many
  research labs  for demonstrations to experience  first-hand the life
  of a  CS graduate student.   There will be many  opportunities, too,
  for informal chats and discussions throughout the day.

      9:30   Introduction and Welcome

     10:00   Presentation on graduate school

                * What careers become possible?

     11:00   Three 20-min. Faculty "spotlight" presentations

     12:15   Lunch at campus center

      1:30   Three 20-min. Graduate student "spotlight" presentations

      2:30   Three parallel tracks of 30 minute blocks each. Feel free
             to attend the blocks in which you are interested.

                * Research lab "spotlight" demonstrations
                * Individual Faculty Meetings
                * Informal chats in Lounge Area

      4:00   Conclusion
                * Question & Answer session

      5:00  Graduate Student Social Hour -- Jillian's Sports Bar
      6:30  Graduate Student Dinner(s)
