This will be all real-world, including their architecture pros/cons, migrations hits/misses, etc. We have talked about virtual servers alot before and now its great to have a local company sharing with us their real word experiences. Dan Sullivan from VMWare will also be onsite to answer questions. ISACA is a local user group focusing on IT Governance, Audit, Controls - big in the CISA, CISM space. Anways, they have Foundstone coming to Durham, NH for Hacking Exposed Live presentation with the focus on internal network and web application security. This is a great event for folks working in Network Security or IT Audit/Controls. Foundstone will demonstrate how it is possible to discover information about hosts on a network using both commercial and free tools. They will also demonstrate how much information can be gathered by simply sniffing a network including wireless and show how even encrypted sessions can be hijacked through man-in-the-middle attacks. Attendees will also be educated on the basics of password cracking and hacking web applications. The session will include a "Threats and Countermeasures" section providing attendees with valuable insight into remediating the vulnerablites presented in this session. Price is $75 for ISACA members, $150 for non-members, joining ISACA is $120 per year
