From: "NHSMUG Announcements (Meetings, Events, Software, Etc.)" Subject: [SeaMac-Announce] NHSMUG: December Meeting: Home Networking Date: Thursday, December 07, 2006 17:16:27 Hello Everyone! Just a quick reminder that this coming Tuesday, December 12th is the next meeting of the NH Seacoast Mac User Group. This month I will be doing a very hands-on sort of presentation on Home Networking. We'll build our own network of gizmos and gadgets right before your eyes. We'll hook up multiple computers and printers, a couple of routers and hubs, some Airport base stations (including Airport Expresses) and maybe some other things that you haven't thought of! I hope to start with a slide-based presentation of some of the basics. After we get that out of the way, we'll start plugging things in and see how far we get. The main presentation will start at 7 PM in the Rye Junior High cafeteria...through the main doors and straight to the back. See for more information and directions. ------------ Starting at 6:15 PM we will be having our ever-popular Mac Mentors session where you can bring your questions and we'll do our best to make up answers. See ya'll on Tuesday...and bring a friend. ------------ The give away closet has been empty for quite a few months now, but something managed to surface for this month's FREE give-away. We have a Rio Chiba MP3 player to give away. It is a small 256 MB MP3 player with expansion capabilities (via SD card) and it runs on a single AAA battery. It's no iPod...but it does play music and work with iTunes. ------------ One more thing... I have an old Epson Stylus Photo 750 (USB 1.1) printer that is looking for a good home (for FREE). It needs some head cleaning, but is in generally good condition physically. It was very lightly used. If someone would like this printer, please just let me know via email (nhsmug at lynchweb dot net) and I will bring it to the meeting. If I don't hear from anyone I won't be hauling it, so please, if you would like it, please be sure to email me before 5 PM on Tuesday. Thanks! - j e f f _______________________________________________ Seamac-announce mailing list Seamac-announce@lists.seacoastmac.org http://lists.seacoastmac.org/mailman/listinfo/seamac-announce
