Scheduled to present is IMAX Corporation's Senior Vice President of Technology, Mr. Brian Bonnick, P.Eng. Brian will begin his presentation by taking us back in time to how IMAX began more than 30 years ago and will finish with their most recent achievements. From the first IMAX. projector made with the help of a miniature bicycle chain, to a later prototype built by Ron Jones and made to work at 18 frames/sec using a vacuum cleaner and an orange juice can, to IMAX's current technical achievements and introduction to IMAX MPX, a new, lower cost projection system that can easily be retrofitted into an existing multiplex setting. *** IMPORTANT SMPTE/IMAX EVENT INFORMATION .
