Case Study on Planning the Active Directory (AD) Infrastructure Design by

Most of us use AD to access resources (computers, users, printers, etc.)
on a network.  Ever wonder how a multinational company would setup AD?
Their setup would be based on their plan for creating a forest, domain,
OU and site topology.  Where would a company place the Domain servers,
DNS servers and Global Catalogs servers?  How about Operations Master
Roles?  The goal of the presentation is to show the rhyme and reason of
the AD Infrastructure.

Agentless Reporting and monitoring in a multi-server multi-platform
world by Ken Leoni of Heroix

Historically the primary methodology for monitoring applications and
servers has been agent based. Only recently has technology truly
embraced agentless monitoring. Heroix has experience developing/deploying
both agent and agentless monitoring and will discuss the advantages and
disadvantages of each methodology. Yes, you can have a robust monitoring
solution and it can be agentless, but there are some significant hurdles
you'll need to overcome.
