- AutoCool Roof Cooling and HVAC control software

- StatTrader Internet-based financial statistics exchange software

Joe Serdakowski, Ph.D., P.E., M.B.A. Self-employed Engineer

Joe has 30 years experience in support of process manufacturing, working as an
independent since 1981.
Joe has extensive experience in process design, simulation, automation, costing,
data acquisition and visualization.
Joe's Ph.D. in computational fluid mechanics lends itself well to his interest
in using VFP as his primary programming tool.

(We are looking for) someone in Massachusetts who has done any work on a
software package called SPIRITS 2000
by Atlantic Systems Inc out of New Jersey. It is a POS system used in the Liquor
industry. It is completely written in
Visual FoxPro 5 and 6. Since we purchased it in March 2005 it has had many
problems with very little support from ASI.
I need to find someone local to talk to and see if we should scrap the system
and start over with someone new or is the
system strong enough and  worth the trouble of working through the problems.

Any reference, direction or help you could give would be greatly appreciated. We
are located in Mansfield, MA.

Several folks responded to our previous e-mailing asking for updates on the
DotNETLearn User group agenda, especially on the
study group. The July and August sessions have not been finalized yet. Here's
what's coming in June.

Our study group leader, Bob Tattersall, focusses this month on content in
chapters 4-7 of the Jesse Liberty Learning C#.NET book. For those
following along in the in the Learning Visual Basic.NET book chapters 4-7 has
corresponding code in VB.NET.

The main presentation Agenda:

Rick Levin provides us with a .NET developer's lessons learned session.
Specific examples focus on XML and client side vs. server side code.
The language used is C#.

Portions of the code are to be posted on Rick's Web site after the meeting.
