From: "Robert E. Anderson" Subject: SLUG meeting tonight 7pm UNH Morse Hall 301 Topic: Video Processing Date: Mon, 14 Feb 2005 19:22:26 +0000 The Topic is: Video Processing tools for Linux The next meeting is Monday 2/14/2004 at 7pm in Morse Hall room 301. This month we'll look at some of the video processing tools available for Linux. We'll look at tools to play video, as well as re-sampling it to other formats. We'll touch on some of the available editors and creation of new material. As kind of a most complex scenario I'll provide a script that processes nearly any form of video input into something that can be played on a the iPAQ running Linux. An example will pull video from a DVD and create a re-sampled scaled down XVID video stream and associated OGG audio stream. This process yields a watchable video on the handheld with a storage size of about 1.7MB/minute ( a two hour movie can fit on a 256MB SD card).
