Subject: WebTech 9/21 - the future of WebTech

Hi everyone,

I hope you all had a great summer!

The WebTech Group has been around for a long time, providing a unique
venue for professional development and learning.  Many things have
changed since the group first formed, and I'd like to invite everyone to
attend a planning meeting to help determine what direction the group
should follow, what our goals should be, and how we can achieve those goals.

The meeting will be held next Tuesday, September 21st, from 7pm to 9pm
at the IBM SPC in Waltham.  Directions are available on-line at

The kinds of things I'd like to encourage people to think about and
discuss include:

*  particular areas of technical interest
*  finding and scheduling guest speakers
*  meeting format and frequency
*  different levels and roles of participation
*  collaboration with other organizations
*  technology sharing
*  anything else you think is important

I hope you can attend.  The greatest strength of the WebTech Group has
always been the amazing level of creativity and ingenuity and diversity
of our members, and I'm counting on that to help make the group into a
valuable resource for everybody.
