This month's meeting will be next Tuesday, November 16, from 7 to 9 pm at the IBM SPC in Waltham. I'll do my best to get the website updated before then. The main purpose of the WebTech group will continue to be the expansion of our technical knowledge, but we'll be trying out some more creative ways of doing that. Instead of having presentation oriented meetings proferred by pundits of PowerPoint, we're going to focus on "how to" topics that will expand everyone's technical repertoire. To kick off this new meeting format, I'm going to lead off with a discussion about byte-code instrumentation techniques and the amazing things that can be done, relatively simply, by creating or modifying Java (or CLR) classes. Even though there's a lot of technical depth here, I'm going to resist the temptation to prepare a PowerPoint presentation. Instead, I invite you to come prepared to learn and share concepts. If we're successful, everyone will be able to pick up the details on their own. I hope to see you there! -- Dan Jacobs, Chairman
