Numerous applications and operating environments create the need to insure every aspect of ones process needs are addressed. Therefore, you must address the ability to handle dynamically changing requirements and/or project timelines. Dave Kapelanski discusses not only the creation of a test automation environment, but insuring your test management process can rapidly adapt to everyday challenges. Insuring you higher levels of confidence in "Go" or "No Go" decisions, no matter the circumstances you encounter! - Learn to weight test requirements and cases based upon requirement priorities. - Identify how to quickly create test suites based on priorities or weights. - Understand detailed quality metrics that tie requirements to test cases to defect information. - Determine whether entrance and exit criteria for testing have been satisfied. Dave Kapelanski has 30 years of experience with application development and testing initiatives. His experience extends across mainframe, distributed and Web environments. During his career, Dave's been involved with a variety of applications that adopted emerging technologies such as the use of radio frequency-equipped devices, electronic imaging of back-office systems and distributed customer call centers that provide self-service Web enablement. 2003-2004 Software Quality Group Calendar Sep 10, 2003: Eric Patel, RapidSQA, Measuring Testing's Effectiveness: How to Ensure You're Getting Your Money's Worth Oct. 15, 2003 (3rd Wed): James McKim, ISRG, Inc., Techniques for Gathering Requirements Nov. 12, 2003: John DeMassi, Tailoring an Agile Methodology to Better Support Testing Dec. 10, 2003: Marc Rene, GTECH, Risk Management for Testers Jan 14, 2004: Joe Zec, Workshop on estimation, providing practical tools and techniques to aid in the software estimation process Feb. 11, 2004: Robin Goldsmith, Avoid Creep-Discover the REAL Requirements Mar. 10, 2004: Anna Allison Memorial Presentation, Johanna Rothman, Are you Hiring Yesterday's Testers?"
