From: "Greg Robidoux" Subject: NH SQL Server Users Group Meeting Change - Next Meeting 1/7/04 Date: Thursday, December 30, 2004 9:56 AM Hi Everyone, There has been a change in the schedule for the next meeting. Andy Kelly will be out of town and can not make the meeting; therefore the Yukon presentation has been postponed. The next NH SQL Server Users Group meeting will be held on Wednesday January 7rd. We will meet at New Horizons Computer Learning Centers, 460 Amherst Street - Nashua, NH 03063. Join us first for pizza at 7pm, provided by DBassociatesIT (maker of SQL LiteSpeed), and the presentation which will begin at 7:30pm. **************************** Performance Analysis with Profiler Joe Chang SQL Server's Profiler is a powerful tool for collection event information. Among the most useful events are the CPU and IO resources consumed by stored procedures and SQL statements. While it is easy to collect a great deal of information, the individual events by themselves do not convey the big picture. To determine the overall situation, it is necessary to aggregate the resources consumed by each stored procedure and distinct SQL statement. Learn how to use scripts to parse profiler traces for key resource utilization by stored procedure and distinct SQL statements. ******************************* For more information about the group, directions or the presentation, please visit www.nhssug.org. I am looking forward to seeing all of you at the meeting. Regards Greg Robidoux www.nhssug.org p.s. Please pass this information on to anyone else you think may be interested. Just have them RSVP prior to the meeting, so we can ensure we have enough space and food for everyone.
