VB.NET Workshop: Web Services with Bob Tattersall Monday, Feb. 16th 6:45PM Microsoft, 6th floor, 201 Jones Road., Waltham MA (directions) Free and open to the public FEATURED APPLICATION Web Reporting Tool, written in ASP.net app using VB.NET for the code behind. Uses Web Services to: - return a list of tables for given database. - return columns and keys for a given table in a given database - return results for given sql query on a given database. Other interesting features/products used include: ADO.net, threading, xml, Forms authentication, Windows authentication, Session variables, and Reflection. FEATURED DEVELOPER Mr. Tattersall has more than 20 years of development experience using a variety of languages, including VB and C++. He attended Northeastern University and completed a BSCS at Daniel Webster College in Nashua NH. Before entering consulting he most recently held positions as Sr. Software Engineer at BrassRing and Compaq, and Technical Project Leader at Compaq.
