Abstract: Enterprise Architecture, Agile Requirements and the Future of Software in the Organization Much of work on Enterprise Architectecutre is talks about ^Ótechnology architectures^Ô. This talk addresses the practical problems in filling in the other 5 columns of the Zachman Framework. The talk is based on a year long Enterprise Architecture + Strategic IT Planning project that the speaker has been working on and the development of new tools and methods for very rapid requirements definition and prototyping. About the Speaker: Ken Orr is the Founder and President of the Ken Orr Institute. Mr. Orr has held a number of positions in his long career in IT. Among these positions include Director for the Center for the Advanced Technology at Washington University (St. Louis) and CIO for the State of Kansas. Mr. Orr has worked in the field of software engineering for over 30 years. He was the principal developer of the DSSD (Warnier-Orr) Methodology, and his most recent approach called NextPractice Architecture. Mr. Orr has written 3 books and hundreds of articles on systems development, enterprise architecture, requirements engineering, database design, and software tool development, His recent reports for the Cutter Consortium include: * Integrating Enterprise, Data Architecture with Enterprise Data Warehousing * Frameworks and Processes for Developing Enterprise Architectures * Agile Requirements * Building a Smarter Internet: Technologies for the Semantic Web, * Building the Real-time Enterprise: Why it^Òs worth the effort * Managing Technology Decisionmaking, * CMM vs. Agile Requirements About the Roundtables: Roundtables are focused group or "birds-of-a-feather" discussions, with a facilitator, to stimulate and moderate discussion.
