Please note that many of these special events have filled to capacity almost immediately. With that in mind, we have only disclosed these special events at live meetings as a mass email notice would cause a significant logistical problem. 1) Windows Sever Loadfest: We still have a FEW seats open as most seats were quickly reserved by those who attended the live meetings. The clip below tells all: ===================clip========================================= The Boston Windows Server User Group invites you to Windows Server 2003 LoadFest What is LoadFest? Microsoft is providing facilities and instructors for a full-day, hands-on seminar on loading and configuring Windows Server 2003. There is formal curriculum that we will follow as we load your copy of Windows Server 2003 on a computer that you bring with you. How much is this going to set me back? This is usually a $1200 hands-on course but we will ask for a $10 donation to the user group at the door to cover our expenses for supplies. When is LoadFest? This Saturday, October 18th, from 9:00am - 4:30pm Where is LoadFest? At Microsoft's offices in Waltham, MA What do I need to bring? An UN-installed but working PC, monitor, keyboard, mouse, etc (just one, please) and a copy of Windows Server 2003 such as the NFR copy that Microsoft distributed to the User Group last June. You may also bring a demo CD version as this will be a hands-on class. PLEASE: Be sure to bring extension cords and a plug strip along with Duct Tape to tape the cords to the carpet to prevent tripping. How do I sign up? As of this mailing, there are only FIVE seats left at this event. To sign up, go to http://www.msugevents.com and select the event in Massachusetts. You will need the VIP code: ws03loadfest to complete your registration. If the event is full, you can sign onto the waiting list, and we will contact you if there are openings. At this invite-only event, you'll get configuration tips and an extensive demo of the Windows Server 2003 from a Microsoft Technical Specialist. You'll also learn important information on deploying Windows Server 2003 within your business, as well as insights into the new features that will dramatically increase your productivity as an IT professional, including: · Active Directory and DNS Enhancements · Group Policy Enhancements · IIS 6.0 - reliability, manageability, and security features · New management services in Windows Server 2003 · And more! What if I have questions? Send questions to this event's manager, Kent Smith at ksmith@ipsoinc.com Thanks for participating in your user group! ===============================end clip=============================== OFFICE 2003 NFR EVENT (for those who missed it yesterday!)
