Date: Mon, 03 Nov 2003 13:31:54 -0500 From: WinServer list Subject: WEDNESDAY meeting notice ==> Boston Area Windows Server User Group WEDNESDAY WEDNESDAY WEDNESDAY ( and no we don't have a "hemi"...) ============================================== Boston Area Windows Server User Group November 5th, 2003 6:30PM Microsoft's Waltham, MA office ============================================== Details, directions, more at: http://www.windowsboston.com/ Note: The Web Server Edition presentation has been delayed, all other topics remain on the November schedule Four important updates: 1) Loadfest(s) 2003/2004 *** NEW INFO, NEW EVENTS *** More may be on the way including a potential NFR offer for a user group-only Exchange 2003 Loadfest. This is still tentative but it seems to be in the works. As with past policies, we will announce the details of any limited-size hands-on events first at face-to-face user group meetings. If any special event seats are left over after the monthly meeting attendees have a first chance at signing up, then we will announce the event availability to the general membership. SO GO TO THE MEETINGS! A retrospective look at the Windows Server Loadfest held on October 18th. http://www.windowsboston.com/loadfest2003_oct.htm 2) Small Business Server 2003 Debut at the SBS User Group Tuesday Nov-4th This will be a can't-miss event. One or two of the folks at Microsoft responsible for the design and implementation of SBS 2003 will present the product to us from an insider's viewpoint. This will NOT be a marketing seminar, nor a hands-on-lab. This will be an opportunity to see the product as it is seen by its creators, complete with explanations of how and why certain decisions were made, components are intended to be used, and more. Due to the expected high interest level, an RSVP is requested. Details: http://www.bostonusergroups.com/sbs/#Next_Meeting 3) In October, Harold Chattaway offered a terrific presentation on IIS 6.0. Some members feel that it may have been one of the best presentations of the year and I don't disagree. Harold's PowerPoint is available at our regular archives page at: http://www.windowsboston.com/archives.htm 4) Topics in the next meeting: http://www.windowsboston.com/default.htm#nextmeet <=== details ______________________________________________________ Boston User Groups, Inc.
