VB.NET is a major upgrade from VB 6.0. While there are many changes the basic language structure is the same. Microsoft provides a tool called the Visual Basic Upgrade Wizard that can help the developer convert applications. While the wizard will convert most of the code, it is far from perfect. We will explore the Upgrade Wizard by converting a simple application. We will discuss how to approach some of the language differences during a migration. Location: Location: Microsoft, 6th floor, 201 Jones Road, Waltham MA 02451 Monthly meetings are on the third Monday of the month. Meetings are free and open to the public. No reservations are required. For driving directions visit http://www.microsoft.com/usa/offices/waltham.asp. In case of inclement weather you can call Microsoft's main number to check for a recording of cancelled meetings at 781-487-6400. We encourage your active participation!
