Fox Subject: [Boston-voice-users] Vocola talk: Tues., June 10, 7:30 PM, MIT 2-132 Boston Voice Users will present its monthly meeting: Writing Voice Commands with Vocola, by Rick Mohr Tuesday, June 10, 7:30 PM MIT, Room 2-132 (directions below) Rick Mohr, creator of Vocola, a voice command language for Dragon NaturallySpeaking, will demonstrate his newest version, 2.0. Vocola (pronounced "vo-CO-luh") offers: Ease of use - Simple, concise command syntax -- most commands are one-liners - Easy to view and modify commands - Changed commands are loaded automatically - Free, and works with any version of NatSpeak Features - Speak a continuous sequence of commands - Specify different actions for variable words - Use concise number ranges, optional words, and inline word lists - Re-use work with "include" files and user-defined functions Familiar syntax - Keystroke syntax and built-in functions from Dragon Macro Language - Grammar syntax similar to NatLink Here's an example Vocola command: Copy That = {Ctrl+c}; Saying "Copy That" sends the keystroke Control-C, which copies the current selection to the clipboard. If you'd like to read about Vocola in advance, see http://home.attbi.com/~Vocola. (Note: the site currently describes Vocola 1.0, released a year ago, but will be updated to describe Vocola 2.0 before the meeting.)
