In our May meeting Sunil gave a high-level overview of Microsoft Analysis
Service. This month we look behind the scenes of what makes the Excel
pivot-tables function so elegantly. We prop open the hood of Microsoft
Analysis Services.
Find out about the importance of a good data model. Learn about
star-schema,
snowflake, and constellations. We are still talking about business
intelligence and OLAP technology. You learn about the various components
that make-up an
OLAP database.
Sunil Kadimdiwan is a Data Architect at InfoTrove Inc, a consulting firm
specializing in the Microsoft Business Intelligence and SQLServer
solutions. Sunil
has over 18 years of database experience, 10 years on SQLServer.

Business Productivity monthly meetings are on the third Thursday of the
