1) A personal word from WinSvr UG chairperson, Rick Zach

I need to share with you that I have accepted a job offer to become the Chief Engineer at WCVB-TV ch-5.  I start work on Monday, December 8th.  As some of you may know, my genes have always been in Broadcasting but my most recent technology involvements have been in IT.  I am not yet in a position to predict my availability for continued leadership roles in the WinSvr UG or the national IT Pro Counsel as those issues will need to be clarified by my new employer.  The BUG leadership is now in the most capable hands of Pat Tormey and his diverse board.  Once I understand my new full time obligations, I will discuss the matter in detail with our steering committee and when clarified, share those issues with all of our members.

Due to significant demand, Microsoft and Pinnacle Training have agreed to extend the N/C LoadFest and N/C NFR Software offer for BUG related members for a second week, December 15-19. If you have not yet registered, or are already on the wait list, visit the Pinnacle Training website below (will be updated with these additional BUG events on Monday morning).

A Saturday BUG LoadFest Event is also in the works, though I request that people leave it for the people who are  absolutely unable to make it Monday-Friday. The date will most likely be Saturday December 13th. Please see the Pinnacle website to register for this session (will be updated Monday morning).
