As always, all interested persons are welcome to attend. Scott Mellott and Tim Myers of WSI Corporation (Weather Services International) will give a demonstration and tech talk on some of the various products WSI sells to the television industry for use in presenting weather to the viewer. WSI has recently finished porting/enhancing these products over to an x86 platform running Linux from the SGI MIPS platform. A demonstration will be done of the system's capabilities after which, a technical discussion will ensue on how the system is configured and functions.
