The April 2nd topic will feature Microsoft's Steve Carbone and the next introductory installment on Windows Sever 2003. Moderator Ted Roche is a well-published expert on collaboration so Steve will introduce and provide detail on the new and enhanced collaboration services available in Windows Server 2003 including Windows Sharepoint Services, Real Time Communication Services, Volume Shadowcopy Services, Terminal Services, and Windows Media Services. More topics are in the pipeline so stay tuned! 3) A true good-guy in our midst! You may have noticed quite a few familiar faces at our meetings. One member, Ralph Zazula of Intel's Hudson facility has been known to help out at our regular user group meetings as well as staffing our group's table at MegaMeeting-III. Appropriately, Ralph was one of the featured people in a local newspaper supplement that featured Intel people who help out in the local community. Ralph was recognized as a valued volunteer who contributes his time to help the Hudson Police Department with their IT deployment needs. A well-deserved tip of our hat to Ralph! 4) New TechTips listserv (play stump the members) We are starting a new TechTips listserv service. This is a trial effort to see if we can operate a fairly low-noise peer-peer email self help group. In addition, we will TRY to see if we can to move some of that unused equipment that you may have hanging around. Details are on the links below, but if you need to move out that old VAX or ten empty racks, please create an email link to a web page just to keep the noise down. Again, the primary purpose will be to create a peer-peer technical self-help group.
