APRIL MEETING - MARK YOUR CALENDARS! The April General meeting will be held on Tues, Apr 15, 2003 at 7:00PM. MIT, 175 Albany St, Cambridge (FREE Parking) Topic: A User Story (Well, sort of.....) Scanning Devices Inc is a manufacturer of Sensors, Instruments and Controls in Burlington, MA. For several years now, they have used Palm's as important elements of the solutions they offer in a variety of industries. These solutions include a Magnetic Stripe Reader and a serial interface for data collection. Recently, Scanning Devices introduced a Bluetooth interface (called the SD900 Bluetooth Starter Module) for use in industrial plants, laboratories and other locations. They use the Palm w/Bluetooth as an Intelligent Touch Terminal that talks to their interface, allowing remote communications with various computer controlled devices located in a these environments. Scanning Devices is going to demonstrate their various solutions at our next meeting. They would also like to get feedback from our members. I think you'll find this a very interesting presentation. As always, light refreshments, door prizes and fun. Oh, there might be a surprise or two. You never know. See you there!
