In our ongoing Application Development Strategies early-evening sessions,
we've come to the point of engaging the client. Tonight's group discussion
centers on:

- WHAT do we want to propose: development styles: RAD, waterfall,
incremental, XP
- HOW do we want to work the business side: time-and-materials, fixed-bid,
"not to exceed..."
- SCHEDULES and budgets: Fast, Cheap, Good - Pick two.

Guy Pardoe will be out of town, so Ted Roche will stand in as moderator.

Visual FoxPro - Outlook Interaction

Outlook is the Microsoft Office Personal Information Manager: calendar,
email client and organizer. Visual FoxPro can interact with Outlook in a
number of ways, either by driving the process or being called via
Automation. In addition, VFP 7 lets you hook into the Outlook event model
and fire VFP code in response to Outlook events. This session reviews the
object models, highlights differences between the many versions of Outlook,
and demonstrates VFP-Outlook integration using each of the interfaces.

Presenter Ted Roche develops Web, client-server and LAN-based applications
using Microsoft Visual FoxPro, Microsoft SourceSafe, SQL Server, and other
best-of-breed tools. He is a principal in Ted Roche & Associates, LLC,
