From: "Steven Allen" Subject: Boston Windows User Group November 26 Meeting - Last Meeting! Date: Sunday, November 18, 2001 10:02 PM Monday, November 26, 2001 ------------------------- Boston Windows User Group ------------------------- 7:00 p.m. - 9:30 p.m. Speaker at 7:20 p.m. Note unusual time ---------------------------------------- Windows XP ========== Microsoft's Steve Carbone shows us the latest Windows, released last month. This includes Home and Professional editions. The first (as long expected) uses the Win NT/2K code base to replace the Win 9x/ME series. The second upgrades Win 2K Pro. Steve has a strong interest in Operating Systems and participated in the WXP Beta Tests. Depending on audience interest, Steve can give us an overview or drill down to details and Q&A. Look at www.windows2000boston.com/xp_links_nobox.htm for links from one of Steve Carbone's earlier presentations. This meeting, in one sense, brings us to a full circle since our first meeting (1/23/95) previewed Windows 95, which was released in August 95. Steve Allen is suspending/ending BWUG operations and will explain this after Steve Carbone's presentation. At the moment we plan to leave the web site in place for another year, continue membership address updating and, perhaps, Tech Help but not accept new members. Hope you can join us for our last event. ======================================== Location: Microsoft's Multipurpose Room 1, 6th floor, 230 Third Ave, Waltham, MA, which has Parking and has Wheelchair access.
