Also, NEXT month, we'll be having a joint meeting with NEJUG on Thursday April 19 at Sun in Burlington, featuring Mark Colan from IBM on Web Services. This month's presentation will be given by Karl Frank, from TogetherSoft, Inc., on The Practical Use of the UML in Analysis and Implementation. This is not a product demonstration, but rather a very practical and insightful presentation from one of the most experienced practitioners in the UML field. I hope to see you there! Abstract: Two Cultures: Analysis and Implementation This presentation addresses the issues involved in using the UML to bridge the communication gap between analysis and design using Object Orientation. There will be detailed examples in an interactive workshop setting. About the speaker: Karl Frank has been consulting to Financial Industry clients in California, New York, and Boston on software development since 1983 following a career as an instructor in logic (NYU, Rutgers, and Dartmouth College) and programming. Prior to joining TogetherSoft, recently, Karl worked for FSA in New York and The Investment Source, Inc. in Boston as an Object Modeler. In the early 90's he worked with Ivar Jacobson as the first proponent of use case analysis in the New York Financial Community and the first US adopter of Jacobson's Objectory process.
