This is a very important technology, so don't miss it! -- Dan Jacobs, Chairman Abstract: Java Web Start is an exicting new application-deployment technology from Sun which gives you the power to launch full-featured, secure applications with a single click from your Web browser (or your desktop) - but completely independent from the browser. This presentation will: - present the features of Java Web Start (JWS), - go through a typical installation "to do" list, - introduce JNLP (the open protocol standard behind JWS) and competing products utilizing this protocol - discuss lessons learned from using JWS in real life.
